Manly flaps Birthday card

ippI created this card for my father-in-law's birthday. I wanted it to be something simple, with a fun greeting on the inside, but I also wanted it to make a impact. He is not used to getting these types of cards, so the fact that it was held by a magnet made great a impression. This was a total improvisation as I had 1 hour to the birthday and no time to make it in advance. I like how it turned out, although totally by accident.

It was very easy to create and took me the best part of 20 min, only because I had some glue mishap .... hmmm, that's me:)  I hid the magnet on the bottom part of the circle and left it exposed on the flap. I stamped the small gift with the stars on the front of the tab closure. I decided to stamp the Happy Birthday wish on the opposite side of the circle so that there is some interest there as well. I printed my greeting, attached only in the middle so that it would raise from the paper and added a fussy-cut of the same stamp that I put on the front. I decorated with some pattern paper and Voila.

Have an amazing day, everyone. Toodles.
