Happy Birthday HSL September CAS Challenge

Hey All,

After a well deserved vacation, I'm back and ready to create on. First thing I did when I came back is to order some things off my wish list at Hobby Compleet De Duif. (greate service and I love how they alwsys send a small gift).

 I was itching to get some of the wonderful Wild Rose Studio Bella stamps. I just love that little elephant. I also got a stamp set by Crafter's Companion- Bebunni Bunches of love. As it happens a dear friend of mine had Birthday yesterday (same day I got the stamps) so it was meant to be.

I love CAS cards so I kept it simple. I decided on the bunny image with the flowers, as one of the sentiments said "Friends are like flowers; they bring colour to your world", which was perfect for a bunny-loving flower addict :) I was also itching to use my new Metallic Platinum embossing powder by Wow (also part of the stamp haul).

I have never before used watercolours to colour such an elaborate image. I am very happy with the results.  I have taken to heatembossing the image with fine transparent powder, gives a bit of shine and keeps the lines crisp. I used a mixture of Spectrum Aqua markers and Distress, embossed the sentiments on the outside and the inside. I embossed the card base with the same powder to tie in the sentiment and wink of Stella-ed some of the flowers and parts of the buuny. And voila- all ready:)

Now I'm working on a baby card with on the Bella stamps I got. That one is coming soon, stay tuned!
When I happened upon the Happy Little Stampers challenge today, I just had to enter this card, it was meant to be!
