SSS Wrap it up - a table topper B-day card

Hello all,

Some time ago I saw this card on Brandy's YouTube channel and I just had to make something like that! It is a table topper type of card and is such a fun idea. You can find the tutorial on the her channel and the measurements on her website.  I also really liked SSS Wednesday challenge- Wrap it up! I like using ribbon and twine but I rarely get the chance. Plus, my sister-in-law has her birthday this weekend so it was the perfect timing to try it out.

I followed Brandy's instruction quite closely, so I will not repeat everything. The only thing I did differently is I put the stabilizing pieces on the inside bottom, not on to of the card. If you watch her tutorial you will see what I mean, she explains that part towards the end. Oh, I also did not put any grass as my image is very different:)

I had to use the cute Wild Rose Studio baby elephant with balloons again, I love the little guy! I cannot stop water colouring him. Here I used Distress inks for the balloons and Spectrum Aqua's for the elephant itself.

I have had this thing organza ribbon for ever and I finally got to use it. I wrapped it around the base of the card(when it is standing), which becomes the front (when it is closed), I Use Wow Opaque Bright White powder to emboss a sentiment (from Your Next Stamp) on the same colour card stock as the mat I used. I put that above the ribbon so it is on the top from when the card is closed.

I of course used Wink of Stella on a lot of places- balloons, mat. sentiment. That teal colour I used for the mat and sentiment was a bit of a dull colour and I do love me some sparkle:)

This is it from me. It is much easier to make than it looks. Try it out and give Brandy some love too:)

Have a creative day!
Vessy
